The Tijereta ("frigate bird" in Spanish) is a 43ft Carolina custom built by Island Boat Works with reliable Cummins diesel power, home-ported at Los Sueños Resort and Marina near Jacó. She's fully rigged with all electronics, an air-conditioned salon and a large cockpit, carrying top-of-the-line tackle from flyrods to 80-lb class for any offshore situation. A full-size fighting chair and six strand harnesses keep you ready for whatever bites. Captained by Bubba Carter, with food, drinks, bait, tackle and mate all taken care of — just bring a good attitude, sunglasses and sunscreen.
