The Macushla is a late-model 2005 38ft cold-molded custom sportfisher, whose name is Gaelic for "sweetheart" — and that's just what she is. Built in Costa Rica by D&A Yachts and powered by twin Cummins 370 diesels with a 10kW genset, she cruises at 28+ knots and tops out around 35. Comfort features include AC in the cockpit and cabin, microwave and refrigerator, and a head with shower. She's rigged with Shimano reels, Rupp outriggers, electric teaser reels, a 98-mile radar and a Release Marine fighting chair. The English-speaking crew has over 20 years on these waters — and this boat raises fish.
