About an hour from the Manuel Antonio area, the Savegre River offers a beautiful, approachable rafting trip. On the drive your guides share Quepos history, including the old United Fruit Company towns known as the 'Cuadrantes.' After a safety briefing and practice you spend a little over two hours on the water — with an expert guide and a safety kayaker along — pausing at scenic riverside stops. The day ends with dry clothes and a delicious homemade Costa Rican meal.
