Paddle past islands and nesting seabirds on the Manuel Antonio coast

From the Quepos pier, paddle roughly 2.5 hours round-trip past islands where seabirds nest, keeping watch for pelicans, flying fish and — if you're lucky — a sea turtle. Below the surface you may glimpse parrotfish, starfish and angelfish, depending on water clarity. Sea kayaking is easier than river kayaking and needs no experience; kayaks seat one or two, children must be at least 8, and a homemade meal caps the day.
